MEET TEDDY & ELEANOR

at Asian Culture Lane ( from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM)

As we celebrate the Year of the Horse at Asian Festival on Main this year, we wanted to create an experience that is not only fun and memorable for families, but also meaningful and connected to the deeper symbolism of the horse across many Asian cultures. The horse often represents strength, perseverance, energy, and connection, values that resonate strongly with the spirit of our community.

This year, we are excited to welcome Teddy and Eleanor, two miniature horses from Cloverleaf Equine Center, a nonprofit organization based in Clifton, Virginia. Cloverleaf provides equine-assisted services to children and adults with disabilities, recovering military personnel, and youth from marginalized communities. Their work focuses on building confidence, emotional connection, learning, and healing through interactions with horses.

Teddy and Eleanor are more than just adorable mini horses. They are Program Ambassadors who participate in horsemanship and equine-assisted learning programs throughout the community, including schools, senior living communities, and rehabilitation centers. Eleanor also holds the highest level of certification through Pet Partners for therapy animal work.

We felt their mission aligned beautifully with what AFM is about: community, inclusion, connection, and creating meaningful experiences for people of all backgrounds and ages. We are honored to have Teddy and Eleanor join us this year and hope they bring a little extra joy and connection to families visiting AFM.
